Directions to the Reunion: To get to Hungry Mother State Park, take I-81 to Exit 47. Go left into town. Follow signs to McDonalds. Turn right at the light. Follow Route 16 to the park. Tell the gate attendant that you are with the Copenhaver reunion and he or she can direct you to pavilion 1. See lodging and camping information below map.
THE COPENHAVER FAMILY settled in Smyth County, Virginia around the year 1800 by Frederick and Eve Copenhaver Their union produced twelve (12) children and the following home sites are primarily that of Frederick and Eve, some of their children and their descendants.
285th anniversary of the Copenhaver’s in America (1728-2013).

This Library Committee was established in 1985 to support the Southwest Virginia Heritage Library, a part of the Smyth-Bland Regional Library. In late 1986 a Declaration of Trust was drawn up establishing the Frederick and Eve Copenhaver Memorial Library Fund to provide financial assistance to the Smyth-Bland Regional Library.
